Welcome to the Inner Journey, a ministry focused on helping people deepen their relationship to the Divine so they can be manifestations of God's Spirit in the world .
After being in pastoral ministry in various forms for 30 years , I moved to full-time private practice as a spiritual director, psychospiritual therapist and supervisor/educator beginning September, 2020.
I am now living out my calling in three different ways, one as a Spiritual Care Provider for Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice (60%), a Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) Psychospiritual Therapy Supervisor-Educator (30%), and limited private psychospiritual therapy and and supervision for therapists registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) (10%).
Since 2016, I have been writing monthly blogs that integrate insights from psychology, primarily through the lens of the Diamond Approach, a sacred psychology, and Internal Family Systems with Christian spirituality and the Christian tradition. Due to the enjoyment of writing on this topic, I plan to continue.

Synopsis of my career:
- May, 2023 onward: part-time CASC Psychospiritual Supervisor-Educator with Community Counselling Centre of London, a CASC Training Centre in London, Ontario
- Sept, 2020 onward: Spiritual Care Provider for Lasaard and Innisfree Hospice. This role, with other Spiritual Care Providers, provides spiritual care for palliative care clients of the Home Community Care Support Services of Waterloo and Wellington Region.
- Sept, 2020 onward: ongoing education/training of Internal Family System.
- 2006 onward: ongoing student of the Diamond Approach, a comprehensive sacred psychology, since 2006. I am a student of Diamond Verité, a group of 50-60 people from various religous tradition that meets twice a year at Crief Hills Retreat Centre near Guelph.
- Aug, 2020: Retired as Mennonite pastor. Ordained in 1998. Pastored part-time in many Mennonite Churches from 1993 to 2020.
- Jan, 2020 onward: Certified as Supervisor-Educator by CASC.
- 2017 onward: CRPO supervisor
- Training in Emotional Focused Therapy (couple and individual) - May 2019 to April, 2020.
- Supervisor-Educator (provisional) with Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) 2017-2019.
- Registered Psychotherapist - College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) in 2016.
